Br Abdulrahman El Sayed, a student at the U of Michigan, is one of 32 men and women from across the U.S. who were selected as Rhodes Scholars for 2009. He is a recent graduate in political science and biology and is currently studying in the U of Michigan medical school for an MD and a PhD in epidemology. In addition to his outstanding academic excellence, he has been very active with the Muslim Student Association and was the 07-08 MSA vice-president.
 
Dr Nadeem Siddiqi, who is currently working with Bank of America, is a name familiar to the MAS-Youth Detroit community. Despite his humbleness, he has been invited to speak to various community groups around the US, including at the MAS Youth National Conference, Convocation of Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, as well as many community building workshops and trainings.
